It may have been released over 16 years ago, but the majority of us are still gushing over The Devil Wears Prada like it just came out this week! We guess that's the power of a good movie, with its storyline, characters, and outfits ingrained in our minds for eternity. As the fan theories have increased in number over the years, we've all been desperate to hear what its main star, Anne Hathaway, thinks of it all. Does she believe Nate really was the film's villain? Where does she imagine Andy is now? Well, at long last, she's addressing it all...

Anyone who is even slightly a fan of the movie will be familiar with the debate over the film's true antagonist. While at first glance, Miranda Priestly may be the obvious answer to this question, others believe it to be Andy's boyfriend, Nate. Played by Adrian Grenier, the character has long been criticized for his naggy and immature ways, especially regarding his girlfriend's career. So, what does Anne have to say on the matter?

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Hathaway was asked if she agreed with this theory. "No, I'm sorry, I don't. I think that they were both very young and figuring things out," she explained. "He did behave like a brat, but I also behaved like a brat in my twenties, and I hopefully grew out of it... I think that that's what we all do, and I wouldn't want to be defined by my worst moment in my twenties, certainly. So, I don't hold Nate as a villain, actually," she concluded.

Seemingly opening a can of worms she couldn't close, Hathaway continued to discuss her iconic role in a recent E! News interview. "What do I think Andy is doing now?" she answered. "I think Andy is in Paris, and I think that she is writing for a wonderful French women's magazine. I think she's a staff writer and she speaks French fluently. And I don't think she's married, but she might have a child or two. I think she's pretty fab." Okay, we're gonna need that sequel ASAP!
