Mark those calendars, because in only a matter of time, Ari will be switching the positions for you: not only will the pop star be taking to the stage for her latest performance, but she'll be doing so completely virtually. Here's what to know about her upcoming in-game concert...
On August 1, Fortnite took to Twitter with the big news: "Ariana is coming!" the video game's official account announced. That's right, Ari is officially the latest A-lister to make her way to our screens for a virtual performance. But wait, it gets better. The upcoming gig won't be like anything you've ever seen before.

Fortnite Presents the Rift Tour featuring @ArianaGrande kicks off August 6 at 6 PM ET #RiftTourhttps://t.co/1ljUFig39F pic.twitter.com/GDCnr24Wh9
Grande's latest concert will actually be part of The Rift Tour Event: a massive in-game musical festival - where we'll watch her perform not 1, but 5 different shows - starting on August 6th at 6 p.m. ET. "Take a musical journey into magical new realities where Fortnite and Ariana Grande collide," Epic announced of the upcoming event.
Are you freaking out as much as we are? But while we can't wait to watch an animated Ari belt out thank u, next or save your tears, she's actually not the first star to find their way onto to our Fortnite screens. That's right. In case you forgot, the video game has hosted many VIPs over the years.
Including, of course, the time we watched Travis Scott take us on a trippy journey back in 2020 (as seen below). From the massive floating avatar of the rapper to the semi-choreographed music video it called for, Scott's virtual Fortnite concert literally had us feeling like we were the highest in the room.
Safe to say, if Fortnite's latest guest is like anything we've seen before? We're in for a real treat here. Make sure to catch the pint-sized star in action on August 6th.
And until then, stay tuned for all the latest updates...
