We don't know about you guys, but after 11 seasons of Modern Family, our life is a little less entertaining without seeing Ariel Winter on our screens every week. But lucky for us, the sitcom star is coming back to television with a brand new project with some big star power starring alongside her!

The new comedy show, titled Hungry, has been picked up by NBC for a pilot and will see Winter star alongside Valerie Bertinelli, Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, Ryan McPartlin, Alex Brightman, and Ashely D. Kelley. We can't wait to see what this group comes up with - and thanks to the production, we have a little taste to come. According to reports, the show follows the story of "a group of friends who belong to a food-issues group helping one another as they look for love, success, and the perfect thing in the fridge that's going to make it all better." And while excitement is building for this latest project from Universal Television, it hasn't exactly been smooth sailing leading up to production.

As it turns out, Ariel wasn't the number one pick for the show, and she actually stepped in to save the cast and crew from delays after Demi Lovato pulled out from their role last minute. The singer, who'd been involved with the project for nearly 12 months, changed their mind, reporting "scheduling reasons" just moments before filming started for the pilot. However, it wasn't a total write-off for Lovato, who ended up staying on board as an executive producer. The decision left NBC scrambling for a replacement, but it didn't take long for Winter to be slotted into the role, having proved her comedy chops from an extremely young age with her part as Alex Dunphy on Modern Family.

And just like that, the near-disaster has been avoided thanks to Ariel -and filming is back on schedule with the cast working on table reads and rehearsals. We've got our fingers crossed that there won't be any more hiccups so we can get our hands on a trailer - but until then, be sure to check back soon for all things entertainment and Hollywood!
