Straight from Fashion Week runways and straight onto our TV screens! Bella Hadid, just like Tyra Banks, is breaking out of the model mold and trying her luck at acting. And we've got all the tea on her debut role. Keep scrolling.
The 25-year-old supermodel made news recently when both Variety and Deadline confirmed that she'd signed on to Hulu's iconic millennial dramedy Ramy. And lucky for us, this won't be a one-and-done appearance like when other celebs pop up in our favorite shows: Bella has joined the cast of season three as a recurring character. For those needing a little background on the Hulu comedy, Ramy tells the story of an Egyptian-American family living in New Jersey. The show was created by Ramy Youssef, who also stars as the main character. But, as the hype has built following its first two successful seasons, there's not an actor in Hollywood that doesn't want to land a spot on this show. Big names have stopped by, like Mahershala Ali and even Mia Khalifa! And it's safe to say that Hadid is bringing some hype of her own to the upcoming season.
The younger of the Hadid sisters shared the news with her fans via an Instagram story. "Aka the local backgammon tournament... best cast, best, crew, best show honored & excited," she gushed about the Golden Globe-winning program. "Yallaaaa @ramy," she continued. "If you haven't watched the first two seasons... Go. Run. Now. Love you." And we're not going to lie, we're planning on doing just that! So, while we wait for more deets to drop about season three, consider us booked and busy while we binge away. Bella, on the other, will have her hands full with preparation for her first role, something she's been dreaming of since 2017! According to an old interview with Telegraph, acting has always been a dream of hers - in order to "have more of a voice in the world."
