Let’s talk about the new film that Ben Affleck is working on with his wife, Jennifer Lopez. It’s a biopic about an inspiring wrestler, Anthony Robles, who hailed from Arizona State. This new project is being produced by Affleck and Matt Damon’s film production company, Artists Equity - and Affleck is definitely enjoying working with JLo.
"It’s been such a joy to work alongside my wife, to do something with her, to see her be great," Affleck gushed. He added that he believes he is collaborating with the best people in the industry on this film, saying that "We always hire the very best performers. And in this case, I can say every single person that’s been cast so far I think is the very absolute best choice."
Initially coy about confirming that JLo would also be in the movie, Affleck eventually relented, admitting that he thinks "Jennifer Lopez may be doing that movie. Can’t make it look like she’s doing it as a favour to me, but actually, she is." For Affleck, it’s always important to enjoy working with the people that you collaborate with. "Your work becomes the lion’s share of what defines your life, in terms of the time you spend," he said. He also shared that it can be difficult and painful when you have trouble working with people at work, particularly if you are prone to depression or anxiety.

But working with JLo is definitely a joyful experience for Affleck. "What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend." Unstoppable, the film that Affleck and JLo are working on, stars Jharrel Jerome as Anthony Robles. Robles, who was born with one leg, went on to win the National Championship for his university in 2011. The biopic will be the second film that Artists Equity produces, following their debut film Air, which stars Affleck, Damon, and Viola Davis. All of this is an exciting glimpse into the filmmaking world of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, and it’s clear that if they keep working together, they’ll keep making magic on the silver screen.
