Cara Delevingne Joins ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Cast

We're delighted to report that when our favorite detective-podcasting trio returns to our screens, they'll be meeting a new tenant in the Arconia apartment complex - played by Cara Delevingne! Now we've all just about calmed down from the news that Cara Delevingne will be joining the cast of our favorite comedy show for its second season; we now have more details to hype over. The model-turned-actress will play Alice, an art-gallery owner who will be a love interest for Selena Gomez's character, Mabel. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, creator John Hoffman spilled all the juicy deets we've been dying to know. "The world just keeps opening up," he said, referring to the growing cast. "I think it's because of the number of apartments you can have in a building."

According to Vanity Fair, Alice will help Mabel discover herself in a whole new way. "It's a little sparky in all the right ways that makes you feel like, 'Oh, someone's opening someone's world,'" teased Hoffman. The best part? Selena and Cara's real-life friendship goes back years, translating into real and believable chemistry on-screen. "It was amazing to have the two of them know each other and feel comfortable," Hoffman noted.

Talking to Elle, Cara gushed about the experience. "Selena is a very special friend, and it’s been so fun to get to work with her for the first time. Well, actually, second time,” she said. “She actually hired me when I had just become a model, and she had designed a clothing line. We have known each other a long time. And, of course, working with Steve Martin and Martin Short is like a master class in comedy. I feel so lucky to get the opportunity.” And if that wasn't enough to pique our interests, the new season will introduce two other new characters played by Shirley MacLaine and the hilarious Amy Schumer.
