'The D'Amelio Show' Shows Dixie Struggle With Online Haters
| LAST UPDATE 09/06/2021
It's only been a couple of days since The D'Amelio Show debuted on Hulu, and fans of the TikTok family have dove into the series to get an inside look at their rise to fame. But the series also shows the dark side of celebrity life.
The D'Amelio family aimed to keep it real when it came to their Hulu docuseries, which meant showing the good, the bad, and the ugly. So a key part of the plot involves the online hate that Charli and Dixie receive on the regular. But in one particular moment, the criticism became way too much for the oldest D'Amelio sister. Let's just say our hearts were breaking for Dixie as she cried to her parents.

"[The hate] makes me feel like I don't deserve anything," the 20-year-old singer said between sobs. "I'm trying to do everything I can to better myself, and it just gets worse." The Psycho artist felt like she was trapped in a loop where she couldn't do anything right in the eyes of her haters. "They break up every single thing I do and make it a negative thing," Dixie confessed to her parents.
The influencer also mentioned that she wasn't just getting hate for her actions but for how she looked as well. "I literally got back from the gym, and then they posted a video of just that 15-second clip, and they're like, 'Oh my god, she's so musty.' I'm like, 'Shut the f**k up!'" Safe to say that this was a tough conversation for Marc and Heidi. Like, who wants to see their child crying, right? But the loving parents were all ears for their daughter.
"Everyone picks apart every single thing I say and do and the way I look," Dixie continued. "I know it's just people's opinions, but it hurts so much." Thankfully, her parents had her back and were proud of her for speaking her truth. "The main goal of ours is to tell a true story of us," Marc explained.
BRB, gotta go back to binging the Hulu series. But check back soon for more D'Amelio news.
