It seems like just yesterday, the world was buzzing about the release of Denis Villeneuve's 2021 adaptation of Dune. But in reality, the film dropped back in October, and production is already in the planning stages for the highly anticipated sequel, Dune: Part Two. And you know what that means! It's time to obsess over a brand new squad of cast members that are joining the ranks for the new film...

For those who need a little refresher (*spoiler alert*), the first installment of the fantasy action film saw some big names get killed off. From Oscar Isaac to Jason Momoa, we barely got a chance to be excited before it was time to see these Hollywood legends pass away as the film progressed. But we've wiped our tears away in exchange for excitement because the round-up of stars slotted for part two is certainly worth getting hyped for! For starters, the production team landed Florence Pugh to play the role of Princess Irulan. Coming off her Black Widow high, Pugh is climbing the ranks of Hollywood and is seriously in demand, and many fans can't wait to see her join in with Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya for the next film. But that's not all...

Also slotted to make an appearance is Austin Butler. Known by many fans as a former Disney star, the 30-year-old actor has totally reinvented his acting rep, having scored the lead role in Elvis alongside Tom Hanks! Butler will be taking on a villain's role in Dune, playing Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. Excited? So are we, TBH... And the hype is only building after a small blurb was released in anticipation of the start of filming in July. "Part Two will focus on Paul assembling a massive army of Fremen to combat the ruthless Harkonnen, as he essentially becomes a mythical messiah figure to the inhabitants of Arrakis," the teaser read.

It's safe to say that expectations are at an all-time high considering the six Oscar wins - but with a cast like this, we're not worried one bit. Stay tuned for more Hollywood updates coming your way! Only on myjournal.com...
