Our favorite Chicago media exec is back in Paris and we couldn't be more excited. The first season of Netflix's Emily in Paris brought us laughs and FOMO as we watched Lily Collins' character, Emily, fumble her way through the most romantic city in the world. So, what could be in store for her next?

The show was released back in October and immediately rocketed to the top of the charts. According to Deadline, Netflix reported the show was the most popular comedy series of 2020. No surprise when 58 million households binged within the first 28 days. As many fans remember, the season finale left us with the ultimate love triangle cliff hanger between Emily, Gabriel, and Camille. Plus, how could we forget the trip to St. Tropez with Mathieu on the line?

Back when the second season was announced, viewers were shocked to learn that Ashley Park, who plays Emily's on-screen BFF, Mindy, knew little of the upcoming plot when she spilled the tea on season 2. No surprise when most of the first season was actually written while they filmed. Clearly their go with the flow style works, so if it ain't broke, why fix it?

Unfortunately for us that means minimal spoilers. But what we know for sure has got us pumped: Filming will take place in multiple locations in France... Including St. Tropez! We're building our theories already you guys. Our excitement is shared with the stars of the show as well. Lilly gushed that she "couldn't be happier to be back in Paris... To expand upon those lessons, to continue to grow, and learn even more about this beautiful city and all of its character with Emily." Girl, we couldn't agree more. Just be quick about it!

The pressure was definitely on to build off the success of the first season. And with the majority of us still stuck at home with no vacay in sight, we're counting on the Parisian rom-com to fill the void. Emily in Paris' creator, Darren Star agreed, adding: "The timing of the series release was fortuitous for us as everyone around the world was able to become armchair travelers and live vicariously through our cast." He further said that he's looking forward to "bring more joy to our fans as we start production on season two."
