We don't know about you guys, but our thirst for the chaotic energy on HBO's Euphoria is unquenchable - but lucky for us, we've got more of it coming our way! With season two only partly underway, there has been formal confirmation that the teen drama will be returning for a third season. And we've got all the tea for you about what that means for our tortured high school gang...
The news dropped on February 4th, when the official Instagram account for the show and HBO's page released a joint post sharing the good news. "EUPHORIA has been renewed for season 3!" the caption read. And of course, in true Euphoria fashion, not much else was given away. But, to loyal fans of the show, the statement on season three didn't come as much of a surprise, considering the mind-boggling success that the second season has seen so far. In just a few weeks since the premiere, the buzz that has been built on Twitter has been remarkable, creating an even larger weekly audience. According to Variety, the viewership for the first three episodes doubled that of season one - with 14 million viewers tuning in to HBO on the January 9th premiere date!
And after reaching Game of Thrones-levels of viewership, the folks over at HBO knew that had to keep the momentum going. "Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken Season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging the narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart," gushed Francesca Orsi, an exec over at HBO. "We couldn't be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3." So, while we've only got a couple more weeks until the season finale on February 27th, at the very least we can get pumped that this is nowhere close to the end for Rue, Jules, Maddy, Cassie, and Nate.

On the downside, if the break between the first and second season taught us anything, it's that we may be in for quite the wait for so much as a teaser of season three. But hey, that's half the fun, right? Stay tuned for more...
