Say it isn't so! After only two seasons, Fantasy Island has been canceled by Fox. The show, a modern update of the beloved '70s series starring Ricardo Montalban, followed Elena Roarke (played by Roselyn Sánchez), a descendant of Montalban's character, as she runs a resort that makes guests' wildest dreams come true.

The show followed Elena Roarke (played by Roselyn Sánchez), a descendant of Montalban's character, who runs a luxurious resort that makes guests' wildest dreams come true. With its blend of fantasy, adventure, and romance, the series quickly built up a devoted fanbase, who were left crushed by the news of its cancellation. Despite being a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment, the show failed to attract the ratings that the network had hoped for, averaging just 2.74 million viewers during its second season. However, despite this setback, Fox praised the show's "fun and escapist creative" and expressed its commitment to working with Sony Pictures Television on future projects.
