That’s right – Ginny & Georgia is set to take us on an emotional rollercoaster ride through its fourth season.

To make things even better, the show has brought in a new showrunner for the upcoming seasons. Sarah Glinski, who has previously worked on the hit show Degrassi: The Next Generation, will be taking over from Debra J. Fisher, who ran the first two successful seasons of the show. For those of you who have been following the show, you would know that the second season ended on a cliffhanger, leaving us all on the edge of our seats. Fisher recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter and hinted that “season three is going to be a big roller coaster.” She also mentioned that when she and series creator Sarah Lampert pitched the show, they had four seasons in mind. So, it looks like there is still a lot more to come from Ginny & Georgia.

It’s no surprise that the show has been renewed for another two seasons. After premiering on January 5, the second season spent three weeks at the top of Netflix’s internal rankings for English-language series. In fact, it’s just outside of the streamer’s all-time top 10 English-language shows over that time span. (Inventing Anna is currently No. 10 with 511.92 million hours of worldwide viewing over 28 days.)

Ginny & Georgia has also been a huge hit in the United States, racking up almost 10.5 billion minutes of viewing over the eight weeks in which it ranked among the top 10 original streaming shows in Nielsen’s streaming rankings.
