It's only been two episodes so far, and it's safe to say that this new season of Euphoria will be taking us on one serious roller coaster full of high highs and low lows. And the show's creative team has totally switched things up when it comes to unique pairings and new couples - and that includes Nate and Cassie. And according to the show's certified hunk, Jacob Elordi, the new on-screen romance has been quite the experience.
The first two episodes alone saw some hot and heavy Nate and Cassie scenes full of intense eye contact. And while the spark is undeniable, Jacob believes that his character and Cassie have a "bit of [a] Bonnie and Clyde" element to them. "We had nothing to do with each other in the first season, and so I never really ever worked with her," the 24-year-old actor shared during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. "But I mean creatively this season, we became a bit of a Bonnie and Clyde." The Australian celeb went on to gush over his co-star's acting talents, saying, "she's so, so good at what she does that it was such a treat the entire time working with her. She brings it every single take, every single scene."
And it couldn't be further from what his romance plot was like last season. "I tried to treat it almost like I was making a romance film," Elordi said of his storyline with Cassie. "I needed to have something different in my eyes in the way that I looked at her." BRB, dying over here, you guys. But as Jacob put it, there was only one thing on his mind with this Nate/Cassie plot, and that was L-O-V-E. "This season for me was about love," he confessed. But don't get your hopes up too high, because the actor went on to admit a tragic realization he's made about his character. Elordi believes that Nate has no concept of what real love is.
