It looks like some bad blood between two American Idol contestants gave Katy Perry flashbacks to her old beef with Taylor Swift... and made the Firework singer fantasize about a collab between the two pop stars! Here are all of the details.

This week, American Idol contestants Camille Lamb and Althea Grace took the stage for Hollywood Week duets. The duo had to put the "weird tension" between them to the side as they performed Lesley Gore's You Don't Owe Me. After the breathtaking performance, Katy Perry didn't hold back on praising the ladies for overcoming their issues and making art together.

Perry, who has been a judge on the series since Season 16, congratulated the rising stars after the performance and commended them on how far they'd come in their relationship. "The sum of you together is better than the sum of you apart," she said. "You held the line for each other. There was a little respect there. And that respect had to grow overnight because I know it wasn't there in the beginning."

"But that respect just got you into the next round," Katy excitedly added. "And ladies, that's what queens do." And if that wasn't flattering enough, the celebrated singer told Lamb she was "Pepa" and Grace that she was "Salt," referring to the iconic hip-hop group consisting of the legendary Cheryl James (Salt) and Sandra Denton (Pepa).

As the two women celebrated together backstage, commenting on how they "killed it" performing, Perry huddled with her fellow judges, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. "Can you imagine if Taylor and I work together, what we could do?" the mama-of-one said as she smiled widely. Well, all we gotta say is, please don't tease us, Katy!

In case you don't remember, the Hollywood icons ended their feud in 2019 in the most epic way: Perry made a surprise cameo in Tay's You Need to Calm Down music video. Fans are naturally freaking out at the comment (and by fans, we mean us). "TAYLOR SWIFT AND KATY PERRY WOULD RUN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY TOGETHER," wrote one Twitter user. Others are hoping the California Girls singer and Selena Gomez will both be on Swift's re-recorded version of Bad Blood.
