Musician Miley Cyrus is traveling to Tampa for the Super Bowl's first-ever TikTok Tailgate. The special Super Bowl LV show is being put on for healthcare workers who "Continue to put their own lives at risk to serve others," explained NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
The show's announcement came on Sunday, January 24th. But, many fans caught on to some not-so-subtle hints back in December. Miley shared a series of Instagram posts that featured her in a silicone bodysuit marked with #96. Pom-poms and football in hand, Cyrus shared news of being the NFL's Takeover Artist in mid-December.
Whether fans caught on to her hints or not, Miley affirmed, "I'll be there for TIKTOK TAILGATE!!! I can't wait to put on a show for the NFL's honored guests before the game." The event will be held on February 7th, before kickoff at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Buccaneers. The NFL confirmed the news on their Instagram too.
Those who won't be in attendance can tune in to TikTok and CBS live streams. In addition to Miley, several other artists are partaking in the celebration this year. Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church will perform the National Anthem, followed by H.E.R's rendition of "America the Beautiful." Even The Weekend is set to headline!
The Plastic Hearts singer performed her latest concert at New Years Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021. There, she shared the stage with JLO, Nelly, Doja Cat, Brandy, and even her younger sister, Noah Cyrus! The former Hannah Montana star has been documenting her hard work on social media throughout the past few months.
In fact, earlier this month, Miley shared some record-setting news on Instagram. "You did it again! Plastic Hearts has spent 6 weeks as the #1 rock album in the country," Miley exclaimed. "This is all because of YOU supporting my record!" she continued. Cyrus has certainly gotten us excited for another rockin' virtual concert!
