If you're anything like us, hibernation mode is going to be in full swing come January. Our holiday food comas haven't ended yet, and TBH, between this weather and our food babies, television is calling our name! And we have just the show lined up to ring in the new year.

Thanks to HBO Max, our butts will be glued to the sofa binging Starstruck. The recent addition to the streaming service couldn't have come at a better time, and if you haven't had the chance to watch it yet, then get ready for some great reasons to get cozy and get binging. The plot follows a story straight out of the beloved Tumblr era of our youth: Jessie, a millennial scraping by in London who finds herself having a one-night stand with Tom, an A-list actor.

Thanks to the rom-com Gods and the creative genius of the show's creator (who doubles as the lead actress, Rose Matafeo), the storyline takes us through the ups and downs and general chaotic 20-something energy that fills Jessie's life. Now, besides being able to relate with the messy antics of the lead character and her day-to-day shenanigans, this series absolutely screams millennials. And we're here to tell you why.

For starters, did the title of the program ring a faint and distant bell? That's because the very same name was used back in the day for the 2010 Disney Channel Original movie. Talk about nostalgia, right? Well, we've graduated from the PG version to a slightly more age-appropriate Starstruck now, and it's a total full-circle moment, in our opinion. Second of all, the plot fits into the meet-cute category of some of our most beloved Tumblr fan-fiction that dominated our tween and teen years. And last but not least, have we mentioned that the show stars Nikesh Patel, also known as the hunk from Four Weddings and a Funeral?

We're certainly convinced. So let your friends know ahead of schedule: January 1st is officially binge day, and they're more than welcome to join! Check back soon for more entertainment that we can't get enough of.
