It's been 19 years since the pink-clad Elle Woods was accepted into Harvard Law and stunned peers with her intelligence. Now, the original Legally Blonde cast has gathered for an emotional reunion.
Reese Witherspoon (Elle Woods) and castmates Selma Blair (Vivian Kensington), Jessica Cauffiel (Margot), Jennifer Coolidge (Paulette Bonafonte), Matthew Davis (Warner Huntington), and others, joined comedian and host Chloe Fineman for the nostalgic online event. The group discussed behind-the-scenes secrets and more.
To the delight of viewers, the cast all performed the infamous bend-and-snap move after Witherspoon shared that, "People always ask me to do the bend and snap." She then revealed a surprising detail, "That was a full musical sequence that we ended up cutting out of the movie. It just felt odd because there was only one musical sequence."
The group reminisced on the filming experience and talked about how amazing it was working together. "I can't tell you what it means to me to see your faces," Witherspoon shared. "This was my college. This is where I went to college. I didn't finish college but I finished Legally Blonde."
The starlet continued, "We all worked together and made this movie together that has inspired so many young people. It's just such a gift... Every time people come up to me and tell me they love this movie, I give it all to you, I share it all with you all." We're not crying, you're crying!
Thankfully, we have more lawyer-in-pink action to look forward to. Hollywood studio MGM announced that Legally Blonde 3 will premiere in May 2020. Among others, Mindy Kaling is set to write the script, and Reese will be returning as Elle Woods. We do not object! Watch the full reunion below.
