Back in June of 2021, fans were eager to learn that the iconic Nickelodeon show iCarly was coming back for an updated reboot! Shortly after season 1 came out, a 2nd season was released in April of this year. And now, it has been announced that the Paramout+ series has been renewed for a 3rd season! Here is everything you need to know.

For those who need a recap of what happened in the first season - Carly's boyfriend left her and decided to start an online video show with his new girlfriend. In an attempt to get back, Carly decides it's time for her to pick up her old hobby of hosting her own online show. From there on, she deals with drama with her old boy and her new boy - until she is left to pick only one. In season 2, she rejects them both and creates a fake relationship with Freddie to regain her fans back. It's full of everything that happens in the life of a 20-something year old: family, fights, love, and drama. And we have no doubt the new season will be just as entertaining!

So who will be returning to the show? Of course, Miranda Cosgrove, who plays the lead of Carly, will be reprising the role - along with Nathan Kress as Freddie Benson and Jerry Trainor as the loving yet goofy big brother, Spencer Shay. Unfortunate, Sam Puckett will not be a returning character. Jennette McCurdy, who played Carly's best friend in the show, retired from acting back in 2017. And honestly, based on the trauma she revealed she experienced during those years in her life, we can see why she is not willing to return to the small screen.

And while the energy Sam brought to the show can't be recreated, the writers have added two new characters to fill the void she left behind. Laci Mosley was brought on as Carly's new best friend, Harper, and Jaidyn Triplett portrayed Freddie's stepdaughter, Millicent. Currently, not much information has been revealed about the storyline of the new season - all we know is fans will finally get to see what happens between Freddie and Carly's relationship. So those who are hardcore #Creddie shippers, get ready to binge-watch iCarly when it comes out on Paramount+ in 2023!
