Sherri Shepherd is coming back to daytime television - but this time with her very own show! Yas Queen! We loved Sherri Shepherd on The View, so we can only imagine the vibe and personality we'll be getting from her on her self-titled show, Sherri. The upcoming show is set to premiere in the fall, so let's take a closer look at the deets.
An actress, a TV personality, a comedian, author, mother, and all that fits in between, Sherri Shepherd is a television icon! The comedian is best known for her time co-hosting the daytime talk show, The View, and recently for guest hosting on The Wendy Williams Show after Williams had to take a step back for some personal health issues. Sherri is actually stepping in as a replacement for The Wendy Williams Show, and as much as we'll miss Wendy, we're excited to see what Sherri is cooking up for us!
Shepherd released a statement this week explaining how excited she is to get to the Fall premiere date and start filming! "September 12th can't get here fast enough. Hosting my own talk show is a dream come true," she said, "and I'm so excited to take viewers on this joyous journey. My new show will be something truly fun and fresh, a daily hour of entertainment escapism with plenty of laughter, fun, and flirtiness as I give my take on pop culture. And I'm so glad to have such an awesome senior production team helping to make this magic a reality." Girl, we can't wait too.
The TV personality will be filming from a live audience in NYC Chelsea Studios, catching us up on all the latest tea, from pop culture and comedy to celebrity guests and interpersonal conversations. David Perler, who previously worked on The Wendy Williams Show, is set to executive produce and serve as a showrunner for the upcoming live show - as well as Shepherd herself! Now that the show has officially been cleared for national syndication expect to see Sherri coming at ya live this Fall starting September 12!
