Teen Romance fans, get excited because a new binge-worthy show is coming to Amazon, and it looks SO good. Based on the Young Adult novel trilogy by Jenny Han (who is also behind the To All The Boys franchise), The Summer I Turned Pretty is set to fulfill all our wildest teen-romance desires. It's got every ingredient for the perfect, binge-able show - from love triangles to strong female friendships. Loyal fans of the books are praying the TV adaptation will do it justice. So far, it's on track to do just that...

The series tells the story of Belly (short for Isabella) Conklin, a teenage girl who's ready for the perfect, relaxing summer at her family's beach house. With her best friends Jeremiah and Conrad by her side, she's prepared for the adventures ahead. Soon enough, the summer takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself at the center of a love triangle. To make matters more complicated, the boys are brothers...

Acting newbie Lola Tung will play Belly. The rest of the cast will be portrayed by Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, and Minnie Mills - along with Colin Ferguson and Tom Everett Scott. The book fans will be pleased to know that Han wrote the pilot herself and serves as the showrunner alongside Gabrielle Stanton. With Han on board, we can be sure that the magic of the books and characters will be reflected on screen.

When the show's trailer dropped on May 5, the Taylor Swift fans were ecstatic to hear This Love included in the soundtrack, something that the book's readers had frequently requested. "Her music does really match up beautifully to the themes, and she's just an incredible storyteller in her own right," Han said of Swift's music. Despite the fact that the show has not yet been released, Amazon has already announced the series has been renewed for a second season, with Han again serving as showrunner. If that's not enough to convince you it's gonna be good, we're not sure what will! Set the calendar now for the eight-episode drop on June 17 on Prime!
