"Do you have what it takes to spot the fakes?" Tori Spelling definitely does. The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum is making her return to reality TV as host for MTV's first-ever relationship mystery competition series, Love at First Lie, and we can't wait. The soon-to-be hit reality show is hitting MTV in the US and around the world on Wednesday, October 12, so stay tuned.
Besides bringing us some iconic music videos from back in the day, MTV is best known for giving us some of our favorite reality TV shows. From Jersey Shore to Teen Mom, Next, and Punk'D, we are forever grateful for the cable channel that consistently brings us the quality television we love and deserve. MTV has added a new show to its roster, Love at First Lie, and well, it sounds like the perfect combination of all the things we as the audience love to see in reality TV: drama, love, secrets, and more drama.
The reality show will kick off next month with 12 episodes, as viewers try to figure out which contestants are in real relationships and who is faking it. MTV's official logline reads, "Power games test their relationships and give insight into who could be telling the truth or lying through their teeth. At the end of each episode, during the Truth Ceremony, the couples must eliminate who they think is lying about their love from the competition. If they guess correctly and kick out liars, they add $25,000 to the prize fund each time. Only one couple can win and take home the entire prize pot, but will they be lovers, or will they be liars?" I mean.

So now that we understand the show's premise let's add in Tori Spelling as the host, and voila! Spelling is no stranger to reality TV or MTV for that matter, after previously co-hosting Messyness, the fourth spinoff of MTV's Ridiculousness. The actress is also known for being a celebrity judge on The Masked Singer, starring in Celebrity Show-Off, and having her own reality series, True Tori, alongside Dean McDermott in 2014. It's safe to say she is the perfect person the job!
