Ladies and gentlemen! HBO Max has finally unveiled more juicy details about the upcoming Gossip Girl reboot which is set to launch in May 2020 - and we can barely contain our excitement. The original series starring Blake Lively (Serena), Leighton Meester (Blair) and more - lasted for six seasons from September 2007 until December 2012.
Luckily for us, the show that rocked many of our worlds is being revived for a new generation of viewers.
We don't want to give away too much information, but Emily Alyn Lind will star in the forthcoming series. The young and upcoming actress will allegedly portray one of the lead characters named Audrey in the Gossip Girl remake. And just to give you a bit of a teaser, Audrey is set to be in a long term relationship and would be seen wondering what more could be out there in the world.
The beloved show is set to be eight years post the original gossip girl putting down her gossipy pen (figuratively speaking.) Now, a whole new generation of private school teens will be introduced to the social surveillance of the famous gossip hacker, where the walls and even your shadows have eyes.
Some of you may be wondering, "But who could ever replace to original Gossip Girl voice? Well, it has been confirmed that Kristen Bell will be joining the cast once more for her important role. Like, who would ever watch the series it weren't for the outstanding narrator?
