Not to our surprise, he's back - and Joe Goldberg won't stop at just anything! Netflix's You is currently in the works for season 4, and we don't know whether to be excited or terrified. We only wonder if Joe's new disguised venture will put the pieces back together. For now, here's what we know...
For starters, the dangerously charming Joe Goldberg is now in Paris. Almost as if he is channeling his inner Chuck Bass, his conniving plans are set to pan out in the city of love. Ironic right? What about Joe makes him believe he can soul search his way into the arms of Marienne (Tati Gabrielle)? Of course, we know Joe will do anything - and we mean anything - to capture the heart of the one he is transfixed by. At the end of season 3, we saw Joe and Love's relationship end up in flames, literally. As opposed to injecting his love into the one he desires, Joe injected his desires into Love - literally. Love's secret serum 'Wolfsbane' backfired on her, Joe was too smart for that, but it was too late for Love to figure that out. After the house burned down, Love was left to blame after a devilish note was left behind.
As usual, it didn't take long for Joe to move on. Set to find his next 'love,' Joe took his stalking and murderous tendencies abroad, quickly moving from Paris to London. Will Marienne outsmart Joe? His conniving talents might beg to differ with an end of season 3 cliffhanger, "all I know, mon amour, is I'll search the world if I have to. I will find you." Sera Gamble, You's showrunner, teased that production was drawn to seeing Joe out of his New York City element. "I would love to do a season where Joe stepped outside the United States... an American fish out of water." Additionally, it is unlikely production would forget about a major character like Henry, Joe's child he left behind, while new wealthy rivals leave Joe threatened with his power of love. Euphoria's Lukas Gage will also make an appearance as "East Coast magnate" Adam, enticing Joe into situations involving "wealthy girlfriends" and "heavy medication." But, when a new female presence, Kate, immediately dislikes Joe, she grows suspicious of his intentions.

Viewers can take a sigh of relief as Marienne was recently spotted in production, confirming she is alive... for now. While production for season 4 began in November 2021, the influx of new cast members, range of locations, and a shift in programmatic tones likely make it all worth the wait! The new season can vouch for being a whirlwind of romance and emotions. Stay tuned: Joe's watching you.
