Ever since it was announced that a Barbie movie was in the making, it seems like every celebrity, influencer, and more have been rocking the Barbiecore style. We guess the infamous doll has become our muse for the upcoming months. Here's everything you need to know about this fashion trend.
Recently nearly every red carpet look includes some kind of pink element, and it is basically impossible to scroll thru the gram' or TikTok without seeing a glimpse of a few hot pink Barbie-esque outfits. And honestly, we're not that surprised. After all, neon and fun, bright colors have been on the rise for quite some time now, so it's only fair that pink get's time to shine! The ValentinoPrink PP fall 2022 collection was designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli., and it was filled with a hard-to-miss pink hue. From then on, Drew Barrymore, Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid, Elsa Hosk, and way more A-list stars have rocked the pieces from the collection.
But of course, many other brands, both luxury ones and done, have released a plethora of fashion items in a Barbie pink tone. Megan Fox is another star that has been showing off her Babriecore style left and right. The actress went to support her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly, at the premiere of his movie, Life in Pink. She appeared not only in a full-blown pink fit in a Nensi Dojaka minidress and pink strappy heels from Femme LA, but Fox even matched her hair to the color. Just a couple of days after this event, Fox attended another event wearing a metallic hot pink two-piece set from The Andamane that included a cropped asymmetric halter top and a ruched skirt. She was styled by Maeve Riley, who also works with many other celebs, like Hailey Bieber.
Although Hailey is no longer working with Riley, the model has joined in on the fun as well. Her current stylist, Karla Welch, put Hailey in hot pink, corset dress from Versace's fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection. She paired it with white platform Naked Wolf boots and Tiffany & Co. necklaces. Welch shared a photo of her client in the fit, captioning it "Paging the Barbie movie." So clearly, we know where her inspiration came from!
