Now mid-August, we are officially in the midst of wedding season! With another wedding every weekend, it's hard to make your event stand out from the rest. While some will opt for an all-out princess wedding gown in an attempt to make their mark, we're here to tell you there are ways to be remembered with even the simplest of wedding dresses. The simple, low-key yet elegant white dress is having its moment right now, as more and more people are choosing designs such as the tailored white suit or the tight off-the-shoulder dress. This approach helps to keep all the attention focused on the bride, allowing everyone to remember who this night is all about. Not convinced this look will make you feel special enough? Here's some ways to spice up the look...

With the overall dress design pretty simple, the key is focusing on the small details. "You can style it up or down as you please," says Jess Kaye and Rosie Williams, the founders of The OWN Studio. As always in life, accessories are everything, so adding a particular shoe, a ballet-style overskirt, some statement jewelry, long gloves, or a bold red lip will help turn your simple dress into a tailored look for you. Some brides opt to go accessory-less for the ceremony and go all out for the party after. It's all about what works for you!

Colored Heels or even a colored veil are a great and fun way to shake things up, adding a pop color to the otherwise white appearance."Coloured heels are my go-to suggestion for adding interest to a wedding look," explained the founder of Clover London, Ally Voss. "I particularly love when you can see them peering through the slit of a long dress. And bonus points for investing in a great heel that you'll wear beyond the wedding day too."

If a colorful veil sounds too 'out-there' for you, there are other ways to go big with the veil, still keeping it white. Think Hailee Bieber's lace-trimmed embroidered veil or Meghan Markle's ultra-long veil for what we mean. Adding things like feathers, polka dots, lace, or flowers will make it memorable, significantly adding to the traditional wedding dress. However you choose to do it, just make sure you love it! It's your big day, after all.
