Kaia Aragon is no ordinary 9-year-old. Instead of playing dress-up or trying on her mom's too-big heels, she spends every free hour she has sketching and designing the clothes of her dreams. Starting off sewing by hand and then later moving on to a sewing machine, the visionary from Colorado has become a viral fashion designer with a wardrobe to envy. Kaia's mother, Tonya, uses her extremely popular TikTok and Instagram accounts to show off her daughter's impressive self-designed clothes and stylish outfits. So, where did this all begin?

Kaia's mom explained that her daughter was crazy for fashion as soon as she could dress herself. "She would always go over the top with accessories, and she would mix and match things that didn't make sense to me but would make sense after she put it on," her mother recalled to The New York Post. Matching this sentiment, Kaia told KRDO, "I wanted to be a fashion designer since I was four, and I have been sewing off and on since I was five years old."

One fan in particular who may be worth mentioning is Vera Wang. After commenting on the young designer's TikTok, she followed up by sending Kaia a purple backpack and a handwritten note, "So excited to see you are already pursuing your dream of becoming a fashion designer! Congratulations and all good luck." With Vera Wang on her side, it seems Kaia is ready to take on the fashion world by storm.

Kaia's mom, however, is keeping her daughter out of the inevitable spotlight as long as she can - ensuring Kaia's passion for clothing remains a hobby she enjoys and not a job she resents at such a young age. "She's only 9, she's in third grade, she should absolutely have the opportunity to change her mind if this isn't something she wants to do forever, she's at the point in her life where she should explore a million other things that she enjoys." Until then, watch this space!
