It's that time of the year again! New York Fashion Week has officially begun - and with it comes a ton of creative new designers and models that get people talking. Here's who you should be watching this season...
While many of the usual stars of fashion week like Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Pyer Moss, and more won't be participating this year, there are many other fresh faces who are getting ready to show off their talents. One is Tanner Fletcher, with a name based on its owners, Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell. Their designs are inspired by the 60's and 70's era, but with a modern twist, with fabrics like silk and lace often on display. Another brand to watch out for this season is Area. Their collections are never boring, considering they often use glamour and theatrics as inspirations. Last year Area made a statement with their couture collection - and we cant wait to see what they have in store for us in their upcoming show.
On the other hand, a more feminine and traditional inspired brand is Atelier Cillian. From dark colors to innovative new ways of styling designs, we'll definitely be keeping up with this brand's clothing line. While we love seeing new designers, we can't forget about ones who have been doing this for years. Take The Blonds, who have been participating in the fashion world for nearly 20 years. The rock-n-roll glamour brand has been worn by many stars over the years, including Mariah Carey, Beyonce, and Niki Minaj! This season we expect the fun electric designs to remind us of the fun times we had pre-pandemic. We have no doubt The Blond won't disappoint.
Now, of course, fabulous outfits should be displayed on fabulous models. One star that will be walking the runway for various shows is Angel Prost. Their soft features and long hair will be seen on the stage for Miu Miu, Marni, Fendi, Collina Strada, and more! But, Prost isn't just a face to look out for on the runway, but also out on the streets of New York City. This model's street style makes them a fashion leader in our books. Until next time, stay tuned for more breaking news from NYFW!
