In just a couple of weeks, June will be here - meaning gay pride month is right around the corner. And it looks like Target is ahead of the game with their latest fashion collaboration with queer-owned brands. Here's everything we know so far about the highly anticipated release!

The superstore didn't just work with one brand, but two. And what makes Target stands out from other brands is the fact that both companies are queer-owned and were founded by females. TomboyX is known for its comfy clothes, stretchy activewear, and size inclusivity swimwear. So we just know the partnership with Target will be good. Their line is set to include various types of undergarments, such as compression tops, which are similar to chest binders (except way more comfortable). It will also feature underwear, bras, and boyshorts in many sizes ranging from S to 4X.

The store's collab with Humankind focuses on different types of garments. Together, the two brands teamed up to create a swimsuit line featuring gender-affirming options. Swim trunks, tops, uni suits, and binders are all included in the drop. This is a huge step as it can be difficult to find these types of items in other, more common stores. So for this to be brought to Target, a well-known and big store is a big step for the LGBTQ community!

When news broke of the collection, many took to Twitter to share their excitement. "Holy s***, Target is selling binders. You can buy binders in a f*****g store now. That's incredible. Like, every store does ~*~~*~*pride merch~*~*~*~* but that's actually making a difference for queer youth. I love it," one person gushed. Another user revealed how great this inclusivity will be: "TomboyX is collabing with Target to put out discreet half binders in stores for Pride season. These will be moderate compression without a lot of branding, so it will look like a sports bra to those not used to seeing binders. A great option for young people who may be figuring." Check out both the collaborations on Target's website or see them in real life in stores!
