It's no secret that confidence is one of the keys to success. Whether it's in the office or a new friendship group, it's been proven time after time that people are drawn to the energy given off by confident people. While this is great news for the self-assured members of the group, we can't help but be concerned for the struggling souls. If you just don't ooze confidence like your peers do, we're here to help! Here's how to fake confidence like a pro until you start to believe it for yourself.

First up, we have the compliment jar. In order to feel your best self, you must have your greatest attributes at the forefront of your mind. One way to ensure this is to note down any accomplishments and keep them in a safe place for a quick and easy confidence boost. Whether it's a highly praised work project or a flawless make-up look, no achievement is too big or small to make it in the jar. In the same vein, write down some positive affirmations describing your greatness and keep them in places you regularly look at. A mirror is an excellent place for them, counteracting those insecurities you're sure to pick up while looking at your reflection.

How you speak can make a world of difference when it comes to how other people view you and even how you see yourself. Words like "just," "sorry," "um," and "like" can immediately undermine your sense of self, making it seem like you're not sure of what you are saying or your level of abilities. Remove these words from your vocabulary to appear like a confident queen.

Ultimately, the best piece of advice we can give you is to act as qualified and knowledgeable as you would like to be. Tell yourself you're more than eligible for whatever position or task you're attempting to get - if you believe it, others will! People are giving you compliments? Say thank you like you know it's true and go on with your day, do not deflect it back and tell them it's incorrect. Stand tall and proud - and walk into the room like you own it!
