If you're anything like us, then you've accepted the fact that getting through a day without a coffee is pretty much out of the question. But while some Starbucks orders may be packed with processed sugars, that doesn't mean that all drinks come at an expense to your health. In fact, there's a new latte recipe that adds nutrients to your diet! Here's the full scoop.
It's called an almond butter latte, and it's all the rage on social media right now. Personally, we can thank Nisha Vora for bringing this recipe into our lives. The vegan influencer and cookbook author dropped this incredibly easy recipe on her Instagram profile, and, well, the rest is history. According to Vora, it's "truly the best latte you can make at home." Big claim, right? But she is known for her flavor-packed recipes by her 600 thousand-plus followers, so something tells us to believe her when she says it's "sweet, spicy, and zingy." After all, just take a look at the flavorful recipe! In a saucepan, bring the following ingredients to a simmer: 1.5 cups of oat milk, two pitted dates, two tablespoons of almond butter, a pinch of cinnamon, and cayenne, one teaspoon of vanilla, and a strip of an orange peel. Once simmering for 10 minutes with the occasional stir, transfer the hot mixture to a blender and mix until whipped and fluffy. Then, all that's left is pouring it over a half cup of coffee!
The final result will be a flavor-packed latte that brings as much delight to your tongue as it brings essential nutrients. From the oat milk to the dates and orange peel, there's no shortage of healthy vitamins in this delicious recipe. And we're not the only ones that think so... Hundreds of thankful coffee lovers piled into the comments to thank Nisha for the tasty health hack. "Made it for the first time today... it's blissfully delicious," one user gushed.
