Yep, it's that time of the year again: You've just wrapped up yet another amazing Turkey Day with your loved ones, and if you're anything like us, that third slice of pumpkin pie (or maybe it was mom's turkey stuffing) is still haunting you - not that we're judging, of course!
But don't let that post-Thanksgiving feast have your stomach churning; For starters, it is the holidays, so we're not even sure that calories count (don't quote us on that one, though); But if you happen to find yourself looking to shed those seasonal pounds, hang on, we've got you covered with these easy DIY workouts.
Go ahead and grab that water bottle while we break it down for you. The first one on the list? We know, all you want to do right now is curl up in bed and ride out that turkey and mashed potato-coma, so we're going to start you off slowly.
So go grab your mat (you'll be needing it soon) and head to your floor, while you stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and do some squats - 15 reps, to be exact. Next on the list? Pushups, of course. If you're feeling a bit tired, you can opt for modified ones, with your knees on the ground, as well.
Once you've completed 15 reps of those, we're going to get started on lunges. If you've got a medicine ball handy, great! Feel free to incorporate it for maximum effect - just don't forget to keep your knees bent at a 90-degree angle. Last but not least? Head on over to your wall while we top off this session with a simple yet effective wall-sit.
With your back resting on the wall, simply bend to form a squat. Sounds easy, huh? Don't be fooled, it's going to burn - but that's exactly what we love about this entire little workout: So simple, yet you're going to be feeling it tomorrow - trust us on that one.
Good luck and most importantly, happy holidays!
