It's that time of year again: Awards season is officially upon us. And while The Weeknd (and us, of course) are still recovering from the Grammys, we'd say the recent Billboard Music Awards went slightly different. Here's what went down.
For starters, the May 23rd event was certainly a night to remember. But we're not just talking about Nick Jonas' time as host. Broadcast at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, the star-studded event saw our favorite stars walk home as winners. From Pink's "Icon Award" to Taylor Swift's "Top Female Artist," we're certainly pleased about how the night panned out.

And we've got a feeling The Weeknd is with us on that one. Not only did the Blinding Lights artist slay our screens with his performance of Save Your Tears, but he did so with a swanky new title: "Top Male Artist." But that's not the only award our Star Boy snagged at the annual event.
After landing 16 nominations, the Billboard artist managed to win not 1 -but 10 of them. Yes, you read that right. And we'd say he certainly earned it (had to). "The After Hours are done and the dawn is coming," the artist teased upon accepting his awards. Could we be looking at a potential new album? Your guess is as good as ours (though we certainly hope so).
But he's not the only one who dominated that stage. Of course, we're talking about the moment Drake snagged the "Artist of the Decade Award." Not only was he as humble as ever about his latest win, but he did so with a special somebody by his side. "I've spent an incalculable amount of hours trying to analyze all the things I did wrong, but tonight for once I'm sure as h*ll we did something right," he gushed, while clutching his son Adonis.
From Drizzy's adorable father-son moment to the other A-list finalists, the awards show certainly didn't disappoint. Until next time, stay tuned.
And in the meantime, you can find us waiting patiently (and hopefully not pointlessly) for The Weeknd's upcoming album...
