If you're like us, Biebs' debut in DJ Khaled's Popstar clip was about the closest you thought you were getting to new music from the Canadian icon. Well, lucky for us, we're officially wrong - and for once, we're actually, well, very happy about it.
Here's what you need to know...
It all started on September 11, when the superstar left the online world scrambling with just two words: "one week," he tweeted. What exactly are we getting in one week's time?
ONE WEEK— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) September 11, 2020
If you ask his manager, Scooter Braun (not to be confused with Drake's, whose is actually with 20... girls, in Buddakan, yeah), there's a whole lot more going on behind the scenes than just some new catchy tunes. In fact, as he put it, we might very well be looking at a whole new era of Bieber fever.
"#newerabegins?" the talent scout tweeted on September 11. While we still have yet to find out what exactly the two have been cooking up for us, we do know one thing for sure: how you can get your precious little hands on their latest project.
That's right, the following day, Bieber himself took to the Twitter world to bless us with some much-needed answers. As he put it, we can stay up to date with his mysterious little project, all at the click of a button - literally. In fact, if we were you, we'd go set that countdown, now.
What'd the singing legend reveal, exactly? Posting a link to pre-save new music from a mysterious 'jbmusic.com,' Bieber wrote, "six days." Yep, it appears that our Apple Music and Spotify playlists are in for a real treat in... less than one week. Are you freaking out, also?
In case you haven't yet had that morning coffee, (not that we're judging, of course), allow us to help you out with some quick math. If new music is set to drop six days after Beibs' noteworthy post, this means we can officially expect the artist's new project... September 18.
And, as Bieber himself reminded us, he's a pop star (not a doctor). In other words, no matter what exactly he's got planned for us, something tells us we're in for a real treat.
