Congratulations, Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke! The happy couple confirmed yesterday the birth of their first child together, a baby boy!
Fans have been speculating for weeks that musician Domino Kirke had given birth to her and Penn Badgley's first child together. Kirke took to Instagram yesterday to finally confirm the news with some abstract art. Domino posted a "placenta art" print in the shape of a heart with the caption "His heart shaped home." A fitting artsy debut for the baby of this creative couple!
The new mom also shared that she is 40 days postpartum. It's hardly surprising that the couple has kept the birth private, as they have kept most of their pregnancy journey out of the spotlight. While Kirk also posted a photo of her sleeping next to her newborn baby, the happy parents have yet to reveal the name of their child.
Badgley and Kirke began dating in 2014, and the lovebirds married three years later in a Brooklyn courthouse. A few months after their initial ceremony, they hosted a larger wedding party. The guest list included celebrities such as Mariska Hargitay and Domino's talented sisters, Lola and Jemima Kirke.
The musician previously shared painful parts of her and Badgley's child-rearing journey, including two miscarriages. She wrote, "Pregnancy after loss is a whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row, we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done."
Sending a sweet message to their baby, she continued, "You're already teaching us how to stay in the day in a way we've never had to, little one. Thank you." We're happy to know the new parents finally have the healthy baby they've been dreaming of. Welcome to the world, baby Badgley!
